Bracken Bales at Sunset

Size: 40x40cm. https://www.dalefootcomposts.co.uk/ harvest the bracken on Barton Fell to make their unique peat-free compost. I love to photograph these bales which are used as scratching posts by the sheep and the fell ponies before they are gathered up. This picture was created using both wet felting and needle felting techniques with wool silk, and bamboo fibres. The wools was hand dyed Bluefaced Leicester locks from my neighbour sheep. Unframed.
