Cumbrian Fell Pony

Size: 23x30cm. Cumbrian Fell ponies are classified as 'vulnerable' by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. Since 2018, I have been needle felting my way through their watchlist in order to raise the profile of these important breeds. I am fortunate enough to have a herd of Fell ponies nearby so I often go out to photograph them. This one was made using both wet felting and needle felting techniques and a mixture of wool, silk, alpaca and bamboo fibres.
