Old Herdwick ram

Size: 30x30cm. More mature Herdwick rams develop wrinkly noses, giving them even more character.  I used locally sourced Herdwick wool for this portrait. My background colours are a mixture of home dyed Whitefaced Woodland and silk. Techniques used are wet felting, needle felting and machine embroidery.
